Agartala, June 13, 2026 — Techno India University, Tripura (TIUT), has issued a stern directive warning that no form of disorder or disruption will be tolerated at the Techno Knowledge Campus in Maheshkhola. The institution has officially declared a “zero-tolerance” policy regarding the spread of defamatory information, stating that any attempts to malign the university or its faculty will be met with strict legal action. The Techno India Group emphasized that its primary commitment remains the preservation of a healthy academic environment and the continued delivery of quality higher education to the youth of the state.

The university’s leadership addressed the recent wave of misleading social media narratives, which they claim are designed to discredit both the institution and the local administration. TIUT reports that certain unruly elements, including some students, have been actively circulating false allegations to sow discord and pursue political agendas. By framing these misinformation campaigns as an assault on the university’s reputation and the dignity of its faculty, the administration underscored that it will not allow the future of its legitimate student body to be compromised by such external agitators.

In defense of its operational integrity, the university highlighted its adherence to stringent regulatory standards. TIUT holds formal recognition from the University Grants Commission (UGC), the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), the Bar Council of India (BCI), and the state’s Health and Family Welfare Department. Furthermore, the university is recognized under the Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (SIRO) by the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR), reinforcing its status as a credible scientific and academic institution operating within the legal framework established by the Tripura government.

A significant point of contention addressed by the university involves recent, widely circulated reports of an alleged ragging incident. Following a rigorous investigation by the university’s Anti-Ragging Committee—which includes the President of the Agartala Press Club—as well as independent inquiries by the District and State Higher Education authorities, it was officially concluded that no such incident took place. The university maintains that these false reports are part of a broader, sustained effort to destabilize the campus and hinder the state government’s efforts to transform Tripura into a premier education hub.

The administration remains steadfast in its vision, established by Founder and Chancellor Shri Satyam Roychowdhury, to cultivate an internationally benchmarked ecosystem in Tripura. Guided by Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Ratan Kumar Saha, the university continues to leverage a combination of local expertise and renowned national academics to provide students with access to cutting-edge fields like Artificial Intelligence. The university asserts that students deserve to pursue advanced education locally without the interference of those who refuse to acknowledge or support the state’s progress in developing a modern educational infrastructure.

Concluding its statement, the Techno India Group called upon the state government to intervene firmly against those promoting extremist forms of regionalism that threaten social harmony and educational advancement. TIUT reaffirmed its commitment to its students, pledging to protect their interests by addressing all forms of misinformation decisively. The university remains dedicated to its mission of empowering the youth of Tripura and continues to urge the public to discount speculative narratives that aim to undermine the university’s contribution to the region’s development.
