European Parliament Condemns Russia’s Weaponization of Historical Distortion in Hybrid Warfare Against Ukraine

Polish MEP Arkadiusz Mularczyk pointed to Poland’s experience, where decades of Soviet propaganda sought to obfuscate the truth about the Katyn massacre, a horrific crime in which the Soviet Union murdered approximately 22,000 Polish officers and then attempted to shift blame. This historical revisionism, Mularczyk argued, serves as a chilling precedent for Russia’s current attempts to rewrite history and justify its aggression against Ukraine.
