The recent violence in Samserganj, Suti, and Raghunathganj prompted authorities to temporarily suspend internet services to curb the spread of misinformation. These posts, containing fabricated narratives and distorted accounts of the violence, are being shared widely, posing a significant threat to peace and stability.
The police have observed a pattern in these posts, noting that the profiles often claim to be residents of various locations within Murshidabad, while their IP addresses trace back to locations outside the district.
