Kavitha Rejects Rift Rumors, Affirms Commitment to BRS and Social Justice

Hyderabad, May 12, 2025 – Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Member of Legislative Council (MLC) K. Kavitha addressed recent speculation and misinformation surrounding her advocacy for ‘Samajika Telangana,’ a movement emphasizing social justice in Telangana. In a candid interaction with the media, Kavitha unequivocally dismissed rumors of internal party discord and reaffirmed her dedication to strengthening the BRS. She attributed her vocal support for social justice to the concerns and realities witnessed during her extensive tour of 47 constituencies across the state.

Kavitha’s recent emphasis on social justice has ignited a flurry of speculation, with some suggesting a growing rift within the BRS leadership. These rumors, she asserted, are part of a deliberate campaign to undermine her and the party’s image. She expressed confidence in the growing public trust in BRS and framed the misinformation as a desperate attempt to counter this positive momentum. Directly addressing those spreading these rumors, Kavitha questioned their motives, referencing her recent six-month incarceration, and emphasized the emotional toll of these unfounded allegations.

The BRS MLC made it clear that she is aware of the individuals behind this smear campaign, highlighting their malicious intent to sow discord. While refraining from naming names at present, Kavitha promised to expose them at the opportune moment, expressing hope that the party would officially address this misinformation campaign. She adopted a firm stance against these attacks, warning that further provocation would be met with a strong and decisive response.

Kavitha elaborated on the genesis of her ‘Samajika Telangana’ campaign, explaining that it stemmed directly from the voices and experiences of the people she encountered during her extensive tour. She emphasized that her advocacy is simply a reflection of the ground realities and the aspirations of the citizens of Telangana. This direct engagement, she argued, provided valuable insights into the social challenges faced by the state’s residents and underscored the need for focused policy interventions.

The ‘Samajika Telangana’ initiative, according to Kavitha, is a call for inclusive development and equitable distribution of resources. She stressed the BRS’s commitment to addressing social disparities and ensuring that the benefits of progress reach all sections of society. The campaign, she explained, aims to foster a more just and equitable Telangana where every citizen has access to opportunities and a life of dignity.

Kavitha’s strong rebuttal and unwavering commitment to the BRS and its social justice agenda come at a crucial time for the party. As Telangana continues to navigate its developmental trajectory, issues of social justice and equitable growth are gaining increasing prominence in the public discourse. Kavitha’s forceful defense against the misinformation campaign and her commitment to addressing the concerns of the people underline the BRS’s focus on inclusive and sustainable development. The MLC’s focus on ‘Samajika Telangana’ signals a potential shift towards a more socially conscious policy agenda for the party, aiming to address the challenges of inequality and ensure that the fruits of development reach all sections of society.
