Moldova Faces Onslaught of Disinformation Ahead of Crucial Parliamentary Elections
Moldova is bracing for parliamentary elections on September 28th, a vote that holds significant implications for the country’s future trajectory. President Maia Sandu and her Party of Action and Solidarity (PAS) are seeking re-election, aiming to solidify Moldova’s path towards European Union membership. Pro-Russian channels on platforms like Telegram and TikTok propagate the false claim that a PAS victory will lead Moldova into a conflict similar to Ukraine’s.
