Unifor Launches “Fact Checked” Campaign to Combat Misinformation and Support Canadian Journalism

TORONTO – In a landscape increasingly saturated with misinformation, Unifor, Canada’s largest private sector union, has launched a powerful new campaign titled “Fact Checked.” This initiative aims to bolster trust in credible journalism and equip Canadians with the tools to discern fact from fiction in the digital age. The campaign underscores the vital role of professional journalism in a healthy democracy and highlights the dangers of unchecked misinformation spreading through social media and other online platforms.
