Belgium Grapples with Decades of Russian Disinformation on Ukraine
Brussels – For decades, Belgium, like many other Western nations, unknowingly absorbed a distorted narrative of Ukrainian history propagated by Russia. This insidious campaign of disinformation, disguised as legitimate historical analysis, subtly shaped public perceptions and left Belgians vulnerable to manipulation. Luc Jacobs, Belgium’s Ambassador to Ukraine, candidly acknowledged the pervasive impact of Russian disinformation in a recent interview with Ukrinform.
