Sunderland Council Grapples with Social Media Misinformation Amidst Social Cohesion Efforts
Sunderland City Council is actively developing a social cohesion strategy in the wake of disturbances that shook the city in August 2024. This initiative involves collaboration with the Sunderland Partnership, various organizations, and community representatives to address the root causes of social division and foster a stronger sense of unity among residents. The strategy aims to provide a framework for public, private, and voluntary sectors to work together, supporting communities and promoting active participation from all residents.
