Reina Filipinas, the Philippines’ newest national pageant, has issued a formal warning to the public regarding the proliferation of deceptive social media accounts masquerading as the organization’s official platforms. National Director Emma Tiglao, who currently holds the Miss Grand International title, issued an urgent advisory on July 11, urging followers to exercise extreme caution when consuming information online. Tiglao specifically highlighted the presence of fraudulent TikTok accounts that have been disseminating misleading details about the pageant’s schedule, venue locations, and the status of various candidates.
The organization’s leadership is treating the situation with significant gravity to ensure the integrity of the pageant remains uncompromised. Joining Tiglao in the effort to curb misinformation, Reina Filipinas President Jojo Bragais has appealed to the pageant community to be more discerning. Both leaders encourage fans to actively report these unauthorized accounts to platform administrators while verifying all news exclusively through the organization’s established, verified channels.
To combat the spread of these falsehoods, the organization has released a comprehensive list of its legitimate social media touchpoints. Fans are advised to follow only the verified Reina Filipinas accounts on Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and X (formerly Twitter). By consolidating their communications through these verified platforms, the organizers aim to maintain a direct line of accurate information for their supporters and help prevent the spread of fraudulent narrative updates that have been circulating prematurely.
Despite the challenges posed by these imposter accounts, the pageant is moving forward with its highly anticipated scheduled programming. The organization is set to officially introduce its pioneer batch of candidates during “The Grand Reveal: Welcome All the Reinas and Sashing Ceremony,” which will take place on July 13 at the Crystal Palace of Aquila in the Sky in Silang, Cavite. For fans unable to attend in person, the ceremony will be broadcast in real-time via the BragaisTV YouTube channel, starting at 6 p.m.
The inaugural competition features a high-profile lineup of contestants, signaling a competitive debut for the new pageant entity. The roster includes notable names from the pageant circuit, such as Alexie Brooks (2025 Miss Eco International), Angelica Lopez (2023 Binibining Pilipinas International), and Anne Patricia Lorenzo (2025 Miss International Queen Philippines). They are joined by other recognized figures including Scarlett Anne De Mesa, Kristen Marcelino, and Zeah Nestle Pala, all of whom add significant prestige to this first-ever staging.
Looking ahead, the road to the crown will culminate at the Newport Performing Arts Theater at Newport World Resorts in Pasay City on August 7. The stakes for this inaugural event are high, as the pageant serves as the official national selection process for international competition. The winners will be tasked with representing the Philippines at the 2026 Miss Grand International pageant in India, while additional slots will be awarded to represent the country at the second edition of the MGI All Stars event in Thailand.
