Armenia Denies Azerbaijani Allegations of Border Provocation, Accuses Baku of Spreading Disinformation
YEREVAN, Armenia – Tensions continue to escalate along the volatile Armenia-Azerbaijan border following a statement released by the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence (MoD) on May 10th. The Azerbaijani MoD claimed Armenian forces opened fire on Azerbaijani positions in the eastern section of the border at approximately 09:55 a.m. Armenia vehemently denies these allegations, characterizing them as disinformation aimed at further destabilizing the region. The Armenian Ministry of Defence categorically refutes the Azerbaijani claims, asserting that no such incident occurred and accusing Baku of fabricating the narrative to justify potential future aggressive actions.
