Russia Spreads Disinformation About Foreign Control of Ukrainian Borders
Kyiv, Ukraine – Ukraine’s Center for Countering Disinformation (CCD) has reported a new wave of Russian disinformation aimed at undermining Ukraine’s sovereignty and justifying its ongoing military aggression. This latest campaign falsely claims that Ukrainian borders with Poland and Romania are under the control of foreign border guards, with Polish and Romanian forces allegedly encroaching up to 2 kilometers into Ukrainian territory. The only "evidence" presented by Russian propagandists is a video of a captured Ukrainian border guard, purportedly confessing to these allegations.
